MEADIAVILLE

Today, Meadville is still recovering from the recessions in 2008 and even the 1980's. Meadville saw six of its main industries leave, leaving Dad's Dog Food and Channellock behind to employ city residents. However, people within Meadville are resilent, as are the smaller local businesses. The city hosts many community events that have great turnout. Some of these events include a farmers market on the second Saturday of the month, First Friday when many local businesses offer specials to the community, Light Up Night in December when the town shows off its holiday lights, the annual Halloween Parade, and the Meadville County Fair every August. At the end of the day, Meadville has not lost its small town pride or its charming appeal.
