1920s

1920- Mass production of Talon’s Zipper started in Meadville at their old location .The high demand for zippers induced great conditions for the Talon Company, and so Talon became Meadville most crucial industry.

1923Channellock moved into its current location on South Main Street in Meadville, which was a 33,000 square foot facility.

1927- J. Howard DeArment passed away and Almon took over.  He then named the company to Champion- DeArment Tool Company.

1929- The clothing industry was largely unaffected by the Great Depression, the community saw a population boom at that time. During World War II, the nearby Keystone Ordnance plant brought additional jobs to the area.
