1970s

​1971- C&J industries started to qualify the tools prior to shipment. A problem arose because the company did not have any injection molding presses. An unexpected solution came out and they arranged for two slightly used plastic injection molding pressed to arrive at C&J. This forever changed the company because they were now in the plastic injection molding business.

1972- Erie Railroad shutdown.  Channellock and Dad’s Pet Food(Ainsworth) were named the biggest companies in Meadville.
