Fine Print

Fine Print is owned and operating by Dan Crandall who is not only the sole proprietor of his own business, but also a board member on the Meadville Redevelopment Authority and the Northwestern PA Investment Cooperative.  Fine Print is a print shop that is located on Chestnut Street in downtown Meadville and has been in business for 32 years now. Fine Print deals with a similar problem that Viroqua deals with in McGregors scholarly work. Fine Print has to compete with big businesses like Staples and Walmart daily.  Logic of commitment pertains here as 80-85% of Fine Print’s business comes within Crawford County. Fine Print is supportive of how community oriented Meadville has become. Fine Print believes that all small businesses can thrive through the local support from Meadville. Looking towards the future, Fine Print is looking to close the gap of alienation between Meadville and Allegheny College.  For example, Fine Print printing more raffle tickets and t-shirts can go a long way for Allegheny and the town. Another way Fine Print is looking to close the bridge between “up the hill” and “down the hill” is providing jobs for college students. Fine Print believes that being involved in the community is good for business. Dan Crandall can be flagged as a main streeter, someone who is super involved in the community and gets themselves into everything they can possibly give a hand to. Fine Print is working towards “togetherness” as they look to close the gap between Meadville and Allegheny College.
